Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Spoonerisms.

If the title was too criptic I went to Scarborough Fair this weekend.

To facilitate things I've provided a link to what a Spoonerism is. Basically its mixing up consonants in a word. So "Beautiful Juliet" becomes "Jeautiful Buliet." Be careful about "Handsome Romeo." A man told the entire R&J story in spoonerisms so fast it made the mind woble violently... or should I say Voble Wiolently?

A good time was had by all. It was G's B-Day. And it turns out if you tell actors at a Renaissance Fair it's your B-Day you get all kinds of grief. Including a water balloon to the face.

Why don't more places serve Turkey legs and Sausage on a Stick? I think the church could do a brisk business if they sold them during class.

I enjoy going to be the "normal guy" somewhere finally.

Graham said I was shy, no its just rare that I don't have to be "on." So I sit back and let someone entertain me for a change. Also, I'm often concentrating so I can steal their material for later use.

Favorite acts: Zilch the Torn Steller (spoonerism-man) and the Turtle Race. (The turtle race is 1/2 hour long but is mostly announcing the competitors, placing wagers, and booing the 'villain-turtle' Bertrude Lump or was it Ferdinand Dump. It doesn't matter I was cheering for Ivan the Terrapin and "El Nino".)

Upset Stomach

I don't know if its the hot wings from last night or if its what I've been thinking about but my stomach is upset. At times like this I wish I had a blog nobody knew about. Then I could safely vent to the world without people involved having to hear about it. I guess I'm just posting hoping for prayers, kind thoughts or words of encouragements. I can't share details this time but I feel I'm at a crossroads.

A quote by Yogi Berra seems apropos, "When you see a fork in the road, take it!"

Of course he also said, "If you don't know where you're going, you might wind up someplace else."

I've prayed and prayed the indecisive man's prayer, "God show me what to do." (Which I'm afraid translates, "God, make this decision for me.") God keeps coming back with "Trey make your own decisions." I wish it was more clear cut.

I guess I'll keep asking God. I need some tums.

Oh, and Maddox can say Sanjaya!

Weaver can't say Sanjaya.

No matter what you hear or read on other blogs this is the truth.

Weaver can't say Sanjaya. (And to be honest his "volcano" sounds like 'malmano')

Unfortunately, Weaver's parents are living in denial about this fact. They assure me he can, they promise me he can, they prompt him hundreds of times to say Sanjaya... but nothing. Usually he just point at something interesting and goes over there to climb on things... but no Sanjaya... maybe he just likes that weapy Doolittle girl.

Other than that incident my trip to Fairmont Park CofC went GREAT!

I think the Ryan and I kept the kids interested and involved... and if they do that they'll hear something we say and God can take over. The orange jump suit is featured in both Maggie's and Steven's blogs if you are interested in the effect it seems to have on people.

The effect is has on me is heatstroke followed by either euphoria or embarrassment.

LTC is OVER!

Phew and so forth.

Drama's went great! The judging was better (more critical) and our groups that didn't get gold will only get better with age! I felt like we had to really earn a Silver in Drama this year which is cool. I'm very proud of the kids. The HS group got called back for Sunday morning and 2k people got to "listen quickly" to the Complete Works of the Book of Acts Play. (All 28 chapters covered in 8 Minutes.)

Next years theme is 1 Sammy "Here am I." A theme that erects a mental block keeping me from thinking of anything interesting. "Here am I" makes me wonder if Sammy spoke like Yoda all the time?

Did you know what Yoda's favorite show starring Angela Landsbury is called? "Murder, She Wrote." (If that joke isn't funny read it out loud and do a Yoda voice for the quotes parts.)
