FONTS

Why are there so many fonts?

Why sometimes are there so few?

Why can I never find the one I want?

Why don't they have more descriptive titles?

Why don't I have a font named after me?

What is the origin of the word font?

Who can actually read wing dings?

Origin of the word:
The word is French, fonte, from fondre (to melt or cast).

There is one named after you - TREBUCHET. Nice and professional looking too. Of course, Comic Sans is too obvious and Broadway is darn near close. I think they named wingdings for me sometimes.

Jen - Nicely done.

O.M. - I fixed my pic but come on! It's Dr. Zaius! I wouldn't be a chimp! You know the orangutans rule the Planet of the Apes!

Anon - I wish I know who you were so I could give you proper props for your etymology.

Heyman - I'm going to start using Trebuchet! I like a name that is party my name and partly a weapon of war!

Mags - Curlz bold is you.
