Thoughts upon finally joining a gym...
- This places smells like bleach.
- When did they start making these weights so heavy.
- How come Jeffro is like in 3 times better shape than I am, even though I could easily beat him in a hotwing eating contest, the world isn't equitable.
- I should have brought my own water.
- What would people do if I ate some Halloween candy while I was on this treadmill?
- I'm being passed on the walking course by a little old lady who is getting her hip replaced while she is passing me.
- Could I beat those old dudes at racquetball?
- It takes surprisingly little make me sweet.
- I should have started this a year ago, then I'd be done by now.

Yesterday, on my lunch hour, I walked for 30 minutes in my neighborhood (BEAUTIFUL day for it), came home and had a salad and single piece of bread with peanut butter for lunch. Ate a sensible dinner. Very proud of myself for finally getting started on doing something about 'those 20 pounds'
Today, Graham had a doctor's appointment, so we drove through McDonalds and I ate a Big'n'Tasty combo and then sat in the doctor's office for 45 minutes.
oh, well....there is always tomorrow.
too funny! we got a tredmill and have never brought it inside the house!
Good for you! I'm addicted to working out! It is a great stress reliever for me!
Yes, it takes surprisingly little to make you sweet. I think you are a real peach.
Unfortunately, I sweat like a pig when I work out.
One year ago today, I joined a gym, started working out 4-5 a week, lost weight, went down a size, tightened my abs, glutes, triceps, biceps and pecs....I kept it going for 6 months stopped and was able to maintain my weight for another 2-3 months with the momentum I had started, but then all of a sudden, within 2-3 months everything went south (literally). Today I put on the workout outfit that looked so good on me 8 months ago - I look a little lumpier - I think I'll dust off the treadmill and get going again. Thanks Trey!
i keep telling myself, "i must, i must, i must reduce my bust." it seems to help. that and the thought that if i don't show up you will have no one to make fun of the other poor saps with. you raise me up! [insert josh groban montage of us working out here]
-big, fat loser
haha...I love the candy idea!
I agree with Stacey...I never thought I'd be one of those people but working out does get kind of addicting and shockingly makes me feel better!
It is my belief that exercise, like all ascetic endeavors, should only be practiced by those who do not believe that it is actually indicative of moral superiority.
I must admit, with a little shame, that I too have been . . . working the out . . . I think that's what the kids are calling it these days. I refuse to use my brother- in- law's treadmill (which I spent two days repairing)because I hate staring at the wall, but I am lifting weights and I walk outside when I want to lose extra weight. Actually, due to my propensity to gain muscle at the slightest hint of exercise, I have gained 20 pounds . . . I hope that I can keep it on.
